This month's Editor's Choice Award goes to Kat Morgan Gaines at the Scripps group in Springfield, MO. This is one of those occasional recruitment spots you get to produce for your station to help fill a position, usually for someone not on the air, and often looking for sales reps. In this case, we're looking for a Traffic Coordinator. What I liked so much about the spot is how Kat was able to take something as boring as a job opening for a traffic person and turn it into something that sounded fun and interesting to the listener. The lighthearted throwback style gave me the sense that this was a cool place to work. The copy and performances were on point.
