We open up side A with a demo from Mark Driscoll. Mark and his producer, Chris, were working on a custom tape for this month's Cassette, but the deadline crept up on them a little too quickly. So, they sent the demo you'll hear this month. However, we convinced Mark to go ahead and finish the other tape for a spot on next month's Cassette! The rest of side A is packed with promos with an international flavor -- we get a couple from 91ZM in New Zealand and three from Canada. Cut 14 features some clean sounding DSE-7000 work from Greg Williams/WMC, Memphis. We wrap up the side with a home brewed jingle for Christian formatted WMHK, Columbia, SC -- excellent!!!
Side B opens with a spot for the Aqua Dance Bar from Greg Williams. The spot a re-make of a spot submitted by Dennis Daniel for a stereo shop almost a year ago. Greg likes to call this a "Son of RAP" spot . Cut 5, "Dodge Intrepid," is another "Son of RAP" spot. Kathy Morgan, WKMQ/WNTA, reports that this "account-saving" spot was inspired by the work of Larry Whitt/KRBE, Houston and a Ford Probe spot he produced last year that won a RAP Award! We wrap up side B with a couple of sweeper montages. As always, great work, everyone!
