KORG has begun shipping their SoundLink 8-track, disk-based, digital recorder. This is the one you've been hearing about for some time. You get over one hundred track minutes of recording time at 48kHz sampling frequency. The unit offers editing capabilities as well as an automated digital mixer, onboard EQ and effects, a 16-track MIDI sequencer, plus lots more. Our friends at ENSONIQ showed their first effects processor at the recent AES show. The DP/4 Parallel Effects Processor has a unique configuration of four inputs and four outputs. They can be used to get the machine to act as four independent mono processors, two stereo processors, or as one single processing chain.
