May 2008 RAP CD

The RAP CDWelcome to the May 2008 RAP CD! We begin with audio for Dave Foxx’s Production 212 column on track 1, and the rest of this month’s CD is our 2007 RAP Awards Best of the Rest Part 2 featuring some fabulous Promos. We get Small Market Promos on tracks 2 through 6, Medium Market Promos on tracks 7 through 14, and Large Market Promos on tracks 15 through 27. And this concludes this year’s presentation of the 18th Annual Radio And Production Awards! A final congratulations to all the winners, runners-up, finalists, and all those who made it to the “Best of” CDs. As always, we are amazed at the caliber of creativity hidden away in radio production studios everywhere, and we look forward to bringing you out again next year!
Next month we’re back to our regular format for the RAP CD. Deadline for submissions is May 20. Please send all mp3 submissions to jv@rapmag.com. Be sure to note the title of the item you’re sending along with your name, your company and/or station, and an e-mail address or phone number for people to contact you with any questions or comments about your submission. Support the RAP CD by sending a promo and/or a commercial recently produced at your studios. Please include your e-mail address or phone number for anyone interested in finding out details about the work such as producer, voice talent, etc. Sweepers, bits, spoof spots, song parodies, and most any other good piece of production are also welcome. If you send sweepers, dub them back to back to create a montage about sixty seconds long or less. All other items should be kept separate so we can pull them off cleanly. Normalize your mp3 files, trim silence from the front and back and email to jv@rapmag.com. Thank you!

Our Members Say It Best!

Love the mag as always -- great to see others opinions on things. And often when I have a question I want answered, it ends up being in the next issue before I've had a chance to ask any friends!
