The RAP CD
September 2006

Welcome to the September 2006 RAP CD. We open up with audio for this month’s Production 212 column from Dave Foxx. Commercials are on tracks 2 through 10. Track 7 from Glenn Cook is for the local "Cardboard Classic" where contestants make a sled out of cardboard, paper, glue and tape, and go down the hill with prizes for the best, fastest, etc.. Glenn voiced all characters in the spot without digital or analog enhancement. Promos are on tracks 11 through 24. Track 25 is a bit from Rich Conway who notes: "What happens when your 40-year-old morning sports guy is about to leave for Vegas to lose his virginity to a hooker?" Track 26 is a creative set of 3 show opens and a close from Steve Franzman. We get a sizzling imaging sampler from Chadd Pierce on track 27, and wrap it up with chuckles from C.J. Goodearl on track 28. Awesome work everyone!

Deadline for submissions for the October CD is September 20. Please send all mp3 submissions to jv@rapmag.com. Be sure to note the title of the item you’re sending along with your name, your company and/or station, and an e-mail address or phone number for people to contact you with any questions or comments about your submission. Support the RAP CD by sending a promo and/or a commercial recently produced at your studios. Please include your e-mail address or phone number for anyone interested in finding out details about the work such as producer, voice talent, etc. Sweepers, bits, spoof spots, song parodies, and most any other good piece of production are also welcome. If you send sweepers, dub them back to back to create a montage about sixty seconds long or less. All other items should be kept separate so we can pull them off cleanly. Normalize your mp3 files, trim silence from the front and back and email to jv@rapmag.com. Thank you!

Our Members Say It Best!

“Love the mag as always — great to see others’ opinions on things. And often when I have a question I want answered, it ends up being in the next issue before I’ve had a chance to ask any friends!”
