The RAP CD
September 2005

Welcome to the September 2005 RAP CD, brought to you in part by Leon Flood and Flash Flood Productions, and by the new imaging library, Category Five from Category Five Sound. Check out Leon Flood’s Rock demo on track 1, and check out the Category Five demo on track two. Contact information is listed below.

Next up is a demo from interview subject Mitch Todd and his imaging crew at Sirius Satellite Radio. Track 4 is audio for this month’s Production 212 column from Dave Foxx. Commercials fill out tracks 5 through 11. Promos take up tracks 12 through 26. We get some sweeper montages on tracks 27 through 30. Track 29 is an interesting piece of work from Ian Fish. Ian takes an a cappella sing from their jingle package (heard first on the track) and knocks out a few variations using the same original vocal. And we wrap things up with a chuckle from CJ Goodearl on track 31. Thanks to all for your submissions! Great work everyone!

Deadline for submissions for the October CD is September 20, 2005. Please send all mp3 submissions (and any other RAP correspondence) to jv@rapmag.com. When sending CD submissions, be sure to note the title of the item you’re sending along with your name, your company and/or station, and an e-mail address or phone number for people to contact you with any questions or comments about your submission.

Support the RAP CD by sending a promo and/or a commercial recently produced at your studios. Please include your e-mail address or phone number for anyone interested in finding out details about the work such as producer, voice talent, etc. Sweepers, bits, spoof spots, song parodies, and most any other good piece of production are also welcome. If you send sweepers, dub them back to back to create a montage about sixty seconds long or less. All other items should be kept separate so we can pull them off cleanly. Normalize your mp3 files, trim silence from the front and back and email to jv@rapmag.com. Thank you!

“Love the mag as always — great to see others’ opinions on things. And often when I have a question I want answered, it ends up being in the next issue before I’ve had a chance to ask any friends!”
