Welcome
to the May 2010 RAP CD as we present the 2009 RAP
Awards Best of the Rest Part 2. First we get some audio
from Dave Foxx for his Production 212 column on tracks 1 through 3.
Then we crank out Best of the Rest Small Market Promos on tracks 4
through 8. Medium Market Promos are on tracks 9 through 19, and
Large Market Promos wrap it up on tracks 20 through 26. As with last
month’s CD, these entries came very close to making it to the
finals, some missing it by a fraction of a point. Our hats are off
to you! (Note: The name listed next to the entry title is the name
of the individual submitting the entry. In most cases, this person
is the entry’s producer, copywriter, or voice talent – or any
combination thereof -- but not always. Feel free to contact the
individual at the supplied email address for added information about
their entry.)
Next month we’re back to our regular RAP CD format, so please send
us some recent work you’d like to share. Deadline for the June RAP
CD is May 21. Please send all mp3 submissions to jv@rapmag.com. Be
sure to note the title of the item you’re sending along with your
name, company and/or station, and an e-mail address for people to
contact you with any questions or comments about your submission.
Thanks!

Support the RAP CD by sending a promo and/or a
commercial recently produced at your studios. Please include your e-mail
address or phone number for anyone interested in finding out details
about the work such as producer, voice talent, etc. Sweepers, bits,
spoof spots, song parodies, and most any other good piece of production
are also welcome. If you send sweepers, dub them back to back to create
a montage about sixty seconds long or less. All other items should be
kept separate so we can pull them off cleanly. Normalize your mp3 files,
trim silence from the front and back and email to jv@rapmag.com. Thank
you! ◙
