Welcome to the June 2009 RAP CD, brought to you in part by
Studios Peak and their new production package, Plastic Surgery.
Check out audio on track 1 and visit www.plasticsurgeryfx.com for
details.
We asked interview subject, Blaine Parker, for some audio for the
CD, and he did something special for us on track 2. Track 3 is audio
for Dave Foxx’s Production 212 column. We’re back to our regular RAP
CD format this month, and we’ve loaded it up with creative
commercials on tracks 4 through 13 and promos on tracks 14 through
23. Track 18 is in Finnish, and Heikki Puttonen adds these
translation notes: “…is a teaser of our Friday night pre-party
show’s launch. The promo is about what happened in history on Friday
19.9. First is year 1973 when the Swedish king got his crown. Second
is 1982 when Scott Fahlman found The Smiley. Third is 1991, a moment
when ice-man Ötzi was found on the Alps. And last one is 19.9.2008
when new history will be written.” (…and you gotta like that Finnish
voice of God!) Track 24 gives the Swine Flu at twist only the mind
of Joel Moss could come up with. We wrap things up on track 25 with
a well done piece from Craig Gear at Rogers Broadcasting in Toronto.
Deadline for the July CD is June 23. Please send all mp3 submissions
to jv@rapmag.com. Be sure to note the title of the item you’re
sending along with your name, your company and/or station, and an
e-mail address for people to contact you with any questions or
comments about your submission. Thanks!

Support the RAP CD by sending a promo and/or a commercial recently
produced at your studios. Please include your e-mail address or phone
number for anyone interested in finding out details about the work such
as producer, voice talent, etc. Sweepers, bits, spoof spots, song
parodies, and most any other good piece of production are also welcome.
If you send sweepers, dub them back to back to create a montage about
sixty seconds long or less. All other items should be kept separate so
we can pull them off cleanly. Normalize your mp3 files, trim silence
from the front and back and email to jv@rapmag.com. Thank you!
