February 2004 RAP CD

Welcome to the February 2004 RAP CD. We kick things off with a super demo from this months interview subject, Mary Collins. Track 2 is audio for this months Production 212 column from Dave Foxx. More creative commercial work fills out tracks 3 through 7. Promos are on tracks 8 through 17. Track 8 from Magnus Gavelin is in Swedish, but you don't need to speak the language to know this is a killer promo. As Magnus notes: "The promo is for a competition we called the Lord of the Ticket. We give our listeners the opportunity to win a golden ticket, which gives the winner entrance to all of our movie previews during 2004." Track 18 from Scott Clow is a timely State of the Union montage featuring the famous Howard Dean screech! Track 19 from Keni Clark is a nicely done remix. Keni notes: "This is an interesting mix I pieced together when I noticed a Gothic Metal band named Godhead covered the Beatles classic. The timing was great so I pieced the old with the new and added a few surprises." Track 20 offers some cool song intros. Track 21 is a new twist on homemade jingles, and we wrap it up with a strange piece from Pete Bunch (VO) and Daren Thomas (producer) which consists of some outtakes from a medical VO session. This is what happens when you get sidetracked from your real work!
