The Cassette - April 1999
This Month On The Cassette: Because of the RAP Awards
finalists on last month’s RAP Cassette, we did not include a demo from Jim
Conlan and Bill West at Radio Works, subjects of the March interview. So, we
kick off Side A this month with a short demo of four great spots from Radio
Works. Glance at last month’s interview to refresh your memory before
listening. The rest of Side A gives us a nice collection of creative
commercials. Those of you tired of hearing heartburn commercials will enjoy
the spoof from Jeff Cannon on cut 12, and we wrap up the side with a couple
of sweeper montages. Side B is devoted to promos, and there’s some pretty
good work on this side, too.
We’re going to do something different next month on the RAP Cassette. We’re
going to feature some of the entries for the RAP Awards that did not make it
to the finals. There are lots of great spots and promos that deserve to be
heard. So, next month we’ll present "The Best of the Rest" of the 1998 RAP
Awards. Once again, you are off the hook for submitting tapes for a month,
but if you want to get an early start, the deadline for the June RAP
Cassette is May 21.
Excellent work everyone, and thanks for your support of this month’s RAP
Cassette!
