Greetings R.A.P. member! Below is the official ballot for
this year's R.A.P. Awards. The finalists are on this month's
R.A.P. CD, so you will obviously need it to complete the ballot.
The tracksheet that accompanies this month's CD contains further
instructions on how to cast your vote. Please read it before
continuing. We'll wait....
Okay, welcome back! You will need the name on your R.A.P.
account and the account number to proceed. You can find these on
the top line of the address on the envelope your magazine came
in, or you can find it on the top line of your address on any
invoices we've sent you recently. Check with your bookkeeper. If
you are having no luck finding your information,
contact us for help. A valid email address
is also required but does not need to match any address we may
have on file. All this information will be kept confidential. No
one will ever find out who you voted for. We only need the
information to confirm the ballot is from a qualified R.A.P.
Member. This is nothing new -- we have required this type of
validation from our international subscribers for twenty years
for any ballots faxed to us.
Only one ballot per R.A.P. account will be accepted. So, four
or five of you at the same station cannot use the same account
name/number information to submit more than one ballot. In the
event we receive additional ballots with matching account
numbers, all but the original ballot will be discarded.
The rest is pretty simple! Listen to the CD, use the
drop-down menus to select your favorite in each category, then
hit the SUBMIT button at the bottom.
BALLOT DEADLINE: March 12, 2010 at 6pm CST. Ballots
received after this date/time will be discarded.
ERROR MESSAGES: After you hit the Submit button, you should
go to a "Thank You" page confirming transmission of your ballot.
For some reason we haven't figured out yet, some computers will
generate an error message after the Submit button is clicked and
never show the "Thank You" page. The error page will say that
"the email was not sent", meaning your ballot was not sent. Most
of the time, your ballot has indeed been sent and received. If
you get this error, we are aware of it and will reply with an
email letting you know that we did get your ballot. If you get
the error, and don't get a reply from us within a couple of
hours (during business hours), feel free to
contact us to confirm receipt of your
ballot.
